This position may require traveling to all of our locations.
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
Wage Range: $22.00 – $25.00
Responsibilities:
The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all aspects of hospital surgeries, office procedures, and outside referrals/testing. This role plays a key part in supporting patients and their families throughout the entire procedure process by providing detailed instructions, ensuring pre-op and post-op education, and facilitating communication between the patient and healthcare teams. The Surgery Scheduler will also manage a high volume of incoming calls, ensuring timely return of voicemails while maintaining professionalism and a customer-service-oriented attitude. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure all necessary documentation, consents, prescriptions, and pre-operative appointments are scheduled and communicated effectively.
Education & Experience:
- Education – High school or GED equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills as demonstrated in past work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prior healthcare experience in either clinical or patient scheduling preferred
- Basic Microsoft application basic proficiency
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems
