This is a 40 hour per week position. An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability.
Wage range: $18.60/hr. – $22.00/hr. dependent on certifications
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs.
Responsibilities:
The Clinical Support Assistant plays a key role in supporting clinical and surgical operations by managing prescription refills, medication prior authorizations, appointment follow-ups, and after-hours patient care coordination. Serves as a resource to patient care issues including prescription and appointment management. This position functions independently and collaboratively within a team to ensure seamless patient care. The role also involves assisting the management team in quality assurance efforts to maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Education & Experience:
- Education – High school or GED equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills as demonstrated in past work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using EHR systems and proficiency with basic Microsoft applications.
- Prior healthcare experience preferred (ex: medical office assistant, pharmacy tech, nurse assistant)
- Experience with prescription refills/prior authorization process preferred
