Have you ever found yourself in need of immediate eye care or wondering whether you can get in to see an eye doctor that same day?
If so, then look no further! Illinois Eye Center offers a same-day eye appointment service, called EyeCareTODAY, to help ensure you can get the eye care you need when you need it.
What is EyeCareTODAY?
EyeCareTODAY is a same-day appointment service for people 5 years of age or older experiencing sudden or urgent eye conditions that need prompt treatment (think urgent care at an eye doctor’s office). It can also be used by those who desire a routine eye exam or updated prescription for eyeglasses or contacts. Illinois Eye Center is proud to celebrate 5 years this February offering this same-day service.
Conditions that may be considered urgent include the following:
Potential eye infection, injury, or irritation
Severe eye allergy symptoms (e.g., itchiness, irritation, watery eyes)
Objects stuck in the eye
Sudden loss of vision
New light sensitivity
EyeCareTODAY is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at our Peoria location and is covered by most insurance plans. All you have to do is give us a call or simply walk into our office to be seen. We have expert eye care providers on standby to help EyeCareTODAY patients and ensure they receive treatment customized to their needs.
What does an EyeCareTODAY visit look like?
An EyeCareTODAY visit is very similar to a regular eye care appointment. After arriving and checking in, you will have an eye exam to check your vision, monitor for any eye disease, and examine the concern that brought you in. Depending on your concern, you may also meet with other eye care providers at Illinois Eye Center before a treatment plan is prescribed.
Is EyeCareTODAY right for you?
EyeCareTODAY may be right for you for a number of reasons, ranging from simply having time in your busy schedule to experiencing an urgent eye condition. But how do you know if your concern is right for EyeCareTODAY?
We are prepared to evaluate most eye conditions at EyeCareTODAY and welcome both new and existing patients. Our facilities have a range of testing capabilities to ensure you can get the care you need. And, if your condition turns out to be more serious, we have expert medical doctors and surgeons on staff to help.
The same-day appointment at Illinois Eye Center can save you critical time and ensure you receive expert care.
If you have a chronic, long-term condition, such as glaucoma or macular degeneration, but are not experiencing urgent eye conditions, please schedule an appointment rather than use EyeCareTODAY.
